- Physical and chemical properties. Appearance and properties: light green amorphous powder; Melting point: 200°C (decomposition); Relative density (water = 1):4.0; Solubility: insoluble in water, soluble in acid, ammonia, etc.
- Health Hazards. Harmful by inhalation, ingestion. Irritating to eyes, skin, mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract. Inhalation of copper carbonate fume can cause metal fume fever, liver and kidney damage and haemolysis. Prolonged inhalation can cause fibrous tissue proliferation in the lungs.
- Hazardous properties. Cannot burn itself, decomposed by high heat to release toxic gases.
- Emergency treatment of leakage. Isolate the leaking contaminated area and restrict access. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear dust masks and anti-virus clothing, and do not come into direct contact with the leak. Small amount of leakage: avoid raising dust, sweep up carefully, put in a bag and transfer to a safe place. Large amount of leakage: collect and recycle or transport to waste treatment place for disposal.
- Methods of extinguishing fire. Firefighters must wear full body fireproof and anti-gas suits and extinguish the fire upwind. When extinguishing the fire, move the container as far as possible from the fire to an open area, and then select the appropriate extinguishing agent to extinguish the fire according to the cause of the fire.
