1. Physicochemical properties. Appearance and properties: white granular powder, odourless and tasteless, hygroscopic; relative density (water = 1): 2.68; solubility: slightly soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, soluble in ether and so on.
2. Health Hazards. Misuse causes nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and other acute gastroenteritis-like acute poisoning symptoms, vomiting and diarrhoea often contain blood, severe cases can occur convulsions, shock, acute heart failure. It can be fatal. Skin contact may cause dermatitis or dry cracks.
3. Hazardous Characteristics. Non-flammable, reacts with acids, emits corrosive and irritating hydrogen fluoride and silicon tetrafluoride gases.
4. Leak Emergency Response. Isolate the leaking contaminated area and restrict access. Emergency responders are advised to wear dust masks (full face masks) and hazmat suits. Avoid raising dust. If a small amount leaks, carefully sweep up and place in a bag and transfer to a safe place. If a large amount of leakage, cover with plastic sheet, canvas, etc., collect and recycle or transport to the waste disposal site for disposal.
5. Fire extinguishing methods. Firefighters must wear full body fireproof and anti-gas suits and extinguish the fire upwind. When extinguishing the fire, move the container from the fire to an open area as far as possible.
