(c) Methods of destruction of residual and waste pyrotechnic composition of fireworks.

I. Destruction methods
Destruction and disposal of waste drugs (products) methods include burning method, water dissolution method and deep burial method
1. Burning method
Burning method is to be dealt with pyrotechnic waste drugs (products) ignited and burned, in the state of strong combustion and explosion does not produce S destroyed. The vast majority of waste drugs (products) are used to burn the method of disposal. Smoking gunpowder (black powder) and combustibles should be destroyed by incineration method, its chemical hazardous waste should be used according to its nature of chemical neutralisation method and other appropriate methods of proper disposal of hazardous waste is strictly prohibited from burying or pouring into the ground water; prohibited hazardous waste mixed with other ordinary waste disposal.
The following safety requirements should be met when using the incineration destruction method.

• Disposal site must comply with GB 50161 safety distance requirements, and set up obvious safety warning signs in the disposal site; destruction, should be taken at a distance ignition mode disposal personnel should wear helmets and evacuated to a safe area; to be handled hazardous waste should be kept in isolation at a distance fire.

• Hazardous waste for the fluid type (sedimentation tanks, soak ponds, wastewater ditches containing hazardous waste residues) should be cleaned up with water, the residue will be poured into the thickness of not more than 5cm, the width of not more than 200cm of the band, to be a little bit of residual moisture seepage after drying out, pouring fuel oil or combustion aid to be burned.
• After burning, the site should be cleaned up to confirm complete destruction.
• Vehicles and containers carrying hazardous waste should be washed immediately after disposal. Other methods of disposal, should take appropriate safety measures.
  2. Water dissolution method
• Water dissolution method is the pyrotechnic waste drugs (products) with a sufficient amount of water immersion for a period of time, so that the water-soluble substances in the drug dissolved, thereby destroying the combination of components of the drug, so that the drug's combustion and explosive properties of the failure, and then buried to deal with it. Black powder and black powder fuse can be destroyed by water dissolution method. Soaking, burying waste drugs (products) should meet the following safety requirements: soaking treatment should be selected remote, preferably without arable land and drinking water.
• Soaking pool should have enough volume, but also must ensure that there is enough water, the water surface should be higher than the soaking drug.
• The soaking pool must be filled with water before the drug can be put into the pool, and the concentration of the drug solution in the pool must not be too high.
• Soaking time should be so that the combination of drug components decomposition, drug combustion and explosive properties failure, to be stirred many times and change the water; such as the drug is not soaked, it is necessary to increase the number of stirring and extend the soaking time.
• After the completion of soaking, to the soaking pool pouring people soil, soil and soaked material stirring mix, and then covered with soil; can also be soaked material out, another dug pit buried. Uncovered soaking pools must ensure that water is always stored.
• Alcohol, resin and other organic solvents made of bright beads, not easy to soak, some soak more than a year still can not make it invalid, so it is not appropriate to use the soaking method, such drugs are best to use the burning method of treatment.
  3. Deep burial method
  Deep burial method is to choose a remote and uninhabited places, the waste of drugs (products) dug pits buried method. This method is no longer used, unless it is determined that the pyrotechnic composition or product has completely failed, or is the residue after soaking treatment. Deep burial pits should be dug deep, and the buried drugs should be separated from each other by soil, and layers should be separated from each other by layers of soil. The burial site should be clearly marked.
